Happy Holidays!! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or the Winter Solstice, and whether you celebrate in remembrance or anticipation, may the lights you ignite lead the way to a joyful and prosperous new year.

Licia represents Solstice holidays: the mistletoe in her crown is for Yule, the laurel for old Saturnalia, the plum blossoms on her coat for Dongzhi, and the incense to honor all three.

Isidore represents the Christian holidays: Saint Lucy’s crown to represent epiphany and Saints’ days, and a necklace with charms of gold, frankincense, & myrrh for Christmas and the birth of Christ.

Athaliah represents Hanukkah: the nine-pointed menorah is the traditional symbol for the festival of lights and the letters on her sash are the same as the letters on a dreidel that stand for “a great miracle happened there”.
